Taking Your ID Photo in Tokyo? We Recommend 19Studio!
The quality of ID photo booths varies a lot by model. Older machines may have weak lighting that leaves your face looking dark, and some can't give you the photo as digital data. If you want consistently high-quality ID photos, we recommend having them taken at a photo studio.
19Studio in Shinjuku also accepts same-day reservations, so it's a good choice if you need a photo in a hurry. For an extra fee, you can also add a suit digitally to your photo, so you can be photographed without bringing a suit of your own!

Summary
We've covered where to find ID photo booths around Hankyu Osaka-Umeda Station and nearby JR Osaka Station.
The two stations are only a few minutes' walk apart, including by underground passage, so you can easily squeeze in a photo while shopping or changing trains. The area is also an office district as well as a shopping area, so even if you're short on time, such as right before a job hunting event or a company information session, you can get your photo taken quickly.
