ID Photo Booths Near Shibuya Station: Locations Inside the Station Too

The area around Shibuya Station

When you suddenly need an ID photo, an ID photo booth is a quick and handy option.
But when you actually go looking for one, they can be surprisingly hard to find.
This article introduces some of the ID photo booths in and around Shibuya Station, a busy hub where many train and subway lines meet!

A studio that takes same-day reservations

The quality of ID photo booths varies a lot from model to model. Older machines may have weak lighting that leaves your face looking dark, or may not let you receive your photo as digital data. If you want consistently high-quality ID photos, we recommend having them taken at a photo studio.
19Studio in Shinjuku accepts same-day reservations. You can also add a suit-compositing option (a digital edit that puts a suit on your photo), which is perfect if you're short on time!

ID photo booths inside Shibuya Station

Shibuya Station is served by many lines, including the JR Yamanote Line and Saikyo Line, as well as the Hanzomon Line and Fukutoshin Line. The station is huge, and there are ID photo booths in several different spots.

Booths inside the station are open from the first train to the last train, so you have a fairly long window to use them. They're also open every day of the year, which is a big plus.

① Hanzomon Line B2F, near the Hachiko Gate

This booth is just to the left as you exit the Hanzomon Line's Hachiko Gate. It's behind the Lawson convenience store, next to a vending machine.

② Hanzomon Line B2F, central passage near the Information Center

After exiting the Hanzomon Line's Hachiko Gate, head straight toward Exit 9. The booth is near the Information Center, in the same row as the coin lockers.

③ Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line B4F, behind the escalator (inside the ticket gates)

This booth is inside the ticket gates, on B4F of the Fukutoshin Line, behind the escalator. From the Fukutoshin Line platform, go up the stairs and head toward the JR lines. The booth sits in a corner out of the main flow of foot traffic, so you can take your photo in relative peace.

Bic Camera and the post office in the Miyamasuzaka area also have ID photo booths!

These booths are on the Miyamasuzaka side, the opposite side of the station from Hachiko and the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Several schools are clustered in this area, including Aoyama Gakuin University, Kokugakuin University, and Jissen Women's University, so these booths are handy if you want to get your photo taken on your way home from class.

Bic Camera Shibuya East Exit Store

Leave the station on the Hikarie side and you'll find the store facing a large intersection. The booth is on the 2nd floor, directly in front of the up escalator. Because it's inside the store, you can use it whatever the weather.

There are two Bic Camera stores near Shibuya Station, but only the East Exit Store has an ID photo booth, so be careful not to go to the wrong one.
